CHOCOLATE CAKE

ORGANIC YOGURT BASED CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH A RICH DARK CHOCOLATE TOPPIN, SERVED WITH DAIRY FREE COCONUT ICE CREAM

INGREDIENTS

200g Organic Natural Yogurt

3 Eggs

375g Organic Self Raising Flour

250g Caster Sugar

125g Olive Oil

1 Lemon (zest)

20g Baking Powder

1 Grated Apple

75% Dark Chocolate

Coconut Ice Cream

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

In a bowl, beat all the ingredients except the flour and apple with a mixer. Add the flour bit by bit, beating each time you add more.

When everything is blended, grate the apple and add it into the bowl. Brush the base of your pan with a little butter and add in the blended mix of ingredients.

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 180°C.

FOR THE CHOCOLATE TOPPING

Melt the Dark Chocolate using Bain-Marie (melt in one pot, placed on top of another pot with simering hot water).
